Peter and Megan update

We sent out this email tonight, but wanted to post it here, too. If you didn't get the email, it means we don't have your email address, so please send it to us or post it here.

A link to pictures is at the bottom (one is from this update and one is from the reunion). Here's the update:

It’s hard to believe that Spencer is already 18 months old! It seemed like an appropriate time to send an update and some pictures of how much he’s grown and changed over the past year and a half.

Peter is still working at M&T Bank in Buffalo . He travels to Baltimore quite a bit to meet with his team members there and deal with some of the challenges that they present. Overall it’s been a rewarding job and he’s been able to meet a lot of people at the bank and get some recognition for the great job that he’s doing.

Megan enjoys staying at home with Spencer and has kept busy this summer with playgroups, story time at the library, and running after Spencer. Megan is now serving in the Primary at church (with the 3-12 year olds) and it’s been a fun experience. The kids are definitely entertaining and are overall very good. But it is very big – there are 71 kids and 38 more in nursery (18 months – 3 years). So that presents its own challenges. She is also in charge of the Primary Program at the end of October where the kids present to the entire congregation, which will definitely be interesting….

We took a few little trips this summer, spending a weekend in Toronto to celebrate our anniversary (without Spencer), a week in Missouri for a Brinton family reunion and a weekend in Maryland to visit Megan’s sister Alyson’s family.

Spencer took his time learning to walk, but took the plunge at 16 months, and is now all over the place. He is also learning to stomp his feet, run, and walk backwards. He says about 30 words now, and constantly amazes us at how observant he is. He can spot a plane, dog, ball, star, clock, bird, or bee from very far away and most often before we notice. He’s a sweet boy and it’s fun to watch him learn and develop. He is relatively tall for his age (81st percentile) but average weight (48th percentile), so he might have Peter’s body type.

We hope you enjoy the pictures at the link below. You can see how much Spencer has grown. Yes, his hair is naturally that blonde and curly and no, we haven’t cut it yet.

We hope you are doing well and would love to hear an update if you get a chance.

Love,

Peter, Megan and Spencer Brinton
